Specialist commercial fit-out and upholstery providers Abbey Upholsterers has reported a growth in turnover.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023, total sales rose 18% to £9.9m from £8.3m in 2022.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £603,000, down from its profit of £1.5m recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Overall, a net profit before tax of £603k was achieved for the year ended 31 December 2023 compared to a net profit before tax of £1.5m reported for the year ended 31 December 2022.

“The company asset base remains strong, with net assets of £4.6m at 31 December 2023 (2022: £4.1m). The company’s directors are satisfied with the company’s performance in the year and the emphasis going forward continues to be on securing turnover that will result in sustainable profitability and cash flow.”
