Indoor and outdoor furniture and leisure retailer Haskins Garden Centres has reported an uptick in revenue and profit.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 25 February 2024, total sales rose 1.8% to £44.7m from £44.1m in 2023.
Pre-tax profit stood at £3.6m, up from £2.6m against the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company, which operates from five garden centres in Southern England, said: “The company traded well despite very poor gardening weather conditions during spring, summer and autumn.
“The economic uncertainty, high inflation and the continued return to international holidays following the prior Covid-affected years also dampened turnover in the garden centre industry as a whole.”
