Online retail group Buy It Direct Ltd, owner of Furniture123.co.uk, has reported another reduction in sales but a return to profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 March 2024, total sales fell 6.1% to £332.1m from £354m in 2023, adding to its prior decline of 15.9% from £421.2m in 2022.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £1m, improving from its loss of £13m year-on-year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Having completed its cost base realignment and stock reduction programme in the first half of 2023, following the 2022 supply chain issues, all parts of the business continued to trade profitability throughout 2024.”
