Luxury mattress manufacturer Vispring has reported a growth in sales and profit.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 11% to £53.2m from £47.7m in 2021. Pre-tax profit resulted at £18.8m, up from £15.1m year-on-year.
Stated within its report, the company said that domestic sales increased by 1% where 2021 had included pent-up orders from the year before, and export sales rose by 20%, with strong growth in demand from Europe.
UK sales represented £21.1m of turnover, up from £21m, while EU revenues stood at £15.7m, up from £12.7m. Sales for the rest of the world increased from £13.9m to £16.2m.
During the year, Vispring increased its headcount by 18 to cope with the increased demand with staff numbers growing to 224.
