Manufacturer and distributer of doors and accessories to kitchen and bedroom furniture retailers and makers, Uform, has reported a decline in sales but remained over £60m.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2024, total sales fell 2% to £60.9m from £62.2m in 2023.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £3.1m, down from £3.4m recorded in the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said UK sales experienced a decline of 2.3% to £41.9m from £42.9m, while revenues to Ireland decreased from £19.2m to £19m.
“Turnover has decreased driven by a decline in kitchen and bedroom volumes in the Group’s UK and Ireland markets,” the business said. “Gross profit decreased from £34.1m to £33.6m. Given the prevailing macro environment, the business experienced inflationary pressure on costs including wages, freight, consumables and paint which impacted profit margins in the year.”
