Sofa and carpet retailer ScS has announced the opening of its new Specialist Metro store in Gateshead.

The store, which is situated at Metro Retail Park, is the second of its three new concept stores, showcasing a refreshed ‘look and feel’.

ScS said it has been designed to support an omnichannel experience for its customers and features some new product ranges.

Commenting on the opening, ScS said: “It’s been all systems go and a lot of hard work but we’re so proud of all our colleagues and how everyone’s pulled together to get our showroom ready for opening.

“Our colleagues from right across the business, all over the country, from Head Office, Support Teams, Retail and Distribution have come together, rolled up their sleeves and done an incredible job… teamwork makes the dream work – the place is really taking shape and looking amazing!”
