Worcestershire independent retailer to close

Independent furniture retailer David Neville Furnishings has announced plans to close due to the directors retiring.

The retailer, which is situated on Hanbury St in Droitwich, has been running a closing down sale to sell off remaining stock, bringing an end to 56 years of trading.

The 3,260sqft shop has also been listed on Zoopla and through estate agents GJS Dillon with a guide price of £395,000.

It is expected that the shop will close for the final time at the end of year following the closing down sale.

Commenting on its closure, the company said: “After 56 years of trading the Directors of David Neville Furnishings have decided to retire, this unfortunately means that the store in Droitwich will be closing.

“We will no longer be taking new orders. All customers with orders already placed with us will have their furniture delivered as planned.

“The store will remain open until all customers orders are delivered and showroom stock has been sold. We would like to thank all our customers over the many years for their loyal support.”
