Sales climb towards £90m at home interiors group

Home interiors specialist BHID Group, which owns furniture brand Neville Johnson and kitchen firm Tom Howley, has reported a growth in turnover as sales edged towards £90m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2024, total group sales rose 2% to £85.6m from £83.9m in 2023.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £3.6m, up from £2m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, BHID said: “the Group continued to experience strong demand for its products and services, with a further 2% increase in Order Intake over the prior year.

“This is reflected in the outstanding order book increasing to £79.0m (2023: £77.5m) at the year end. The Group continues to focus on a digital marketing strategy, generating high-quality, cost-effective client leads.”

Part of the group is fitted furniture firm Neville Johnson, which posted sales of £31.2m, a decline of 3.1% from £32.2m in the period. Pre-tax profit resulted at £584,000, down from £908,000. Meanwhile, Tom Howley Kitchens saw sales rise 5.4% to £48m from £45.5m, with pre-tax profit resulting at £5.9m, up from £4.1m year-on-year.
